As a practicing Dentist in Noida, I often hear queries about dental health about children from parents. One of the common queries is worry of parents by observing gaps in milk teeth. We often notice large gaps between the milk teeth when they start erupting at the age of 6 months to 2 years. These gaps are normal and supposed to be there between the milk teeth. Milk teeth have a different anatomy than the permanent teeth. Milk teeth are milky white in appearance and small in size like pearls. When they start erupting in mouth at the age of 6 to 8 months the jaw size is very small. Permanent teeth start erupting at the age of 6 to 8 years in children.
